Honorable Mentions:

Clay Aiken and Kathy Griffin- American Idol Season 3 (first runner-up) and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the “D” List. Yes, Clay has a wonderful voice and a more successful music career than the American Idol Season 3 winner Ruben Studdard. However, it is Kathy’s exceptional comedic tails of Clay’s adventures that make them a brilliant reality television duo.

Rupert Boneham- Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor All-Stars. Rupert didn’t win Survivor: Pearl Island. In fact, he barely made the jury. However, Rupert’s big heart, fun loving personality and cartoon-like voice stole the show! America gave Rupert a car and he was later asked to join the cast of Survivor All-Stars.

Janice Dickinson- The Surreal Life Season 4, America’s Next Top Model and The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. From The Surreal Life, Janice moved on to judge America’s Next Top Model and then created her own reality show The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Janice said it best: “Eat your heart out, Tyra!”

#10 Mary Conley and David Conley a.k.a. ‘The Coalminers’- The Amazing Race Season 10. Mary and David didn’t even finish in the final four on The Amazing Race, but boy did America root for them. They were a sweet, kind couple that had never left West Virginia (let alone traveled outside of the United States). Mary and David took us along on their journey of a lifetime and made us feel like we were watching The Amazing Race for the very first time.

#9 Richard Hatch- Survivor Season 1 and Survivor All-Stars. Richard Hatch was the cunning, crafty and naked winner of the first season of Survivor. If Richard did not play Survivor in the precise manner that he did, would we still be watching the show? Plus, seven years later Richard Hatch is still making headlines for “forgetting” to pay his taxes on his million-dollar prize money.
